I have always used the kind of dog seatbelts that buckle in. However, one of my current dogs now easily unbuckles herself by stepping on the release so I went on the search for something different. I have only used these for two car rides. I am impressed! It is much quicker for me to buckle my girls in with these than with the other type. They didn't get tangled up. This tether works very well for my mini Schnauzer. Make sure you have a sturdy comfortable harness on the dog before using. It would be great if the tether could also be used as a temporary leash for vet or groomer visits, etc.. Perhaps sell a clip-on extension for that purpose. -Ed L
