We've been using a pack n play with the slumberpod tent over it for traveling with our toddler but they were growing out of the pack n play and we were going on a big Europe trip with limited rental car trunk space and didn't want to carry the bulky pack n play, hence why we bought this. We tried a generic Intex toddler mattress before this but it was bulky and heavy and didn't pack up well. This was perfect! Worth the extra money. It compresses down quite small and is NOT heavy at all. It did fit underneath our slumberpod (although it is slightly longer than it, and more narrow than the tent.) It makes some sound when on it, but no more than any other air mattress. Seemed very comfortable, toddler slept well on it, and the mesh worked well for keeping my child cool when sleeping in slightly too hot non-AC European rooms. -Stwin
