Things to Do When Visiting Disney in Winter

If you haven't been to Disneyland lately, winter is a great time to go. Let's see how you can make the most of your visit during the cold months.

Epcot is a great place to be during the winter season. In addition to the fact that Magic Kingdom has Christmas events going on, Epcot also has two special festivals: The Epcot International Festival of Holidays and The International Festival of Arts.

The first one starts in early winter and takes place over a few weeks. It features storytellers, holiday food from various countries around the world, and yummy holiday drinks.

One of my favorite parts about this festival is that you can watch the Candlelight Processional show which features talented singers telling the story of Christmas through song. After this festival wraps up, another one called The International Festival of Arts begins. This festival features visual artistry, entertainment, performances and even some tasty treats!

In the early part of winter and through the Christmas Season, guests can watch special fireworks and a projection display on Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Sunset Blvd comes alive with Sunset Seasons Greetings, where it snows on Sunset Blvd, and there is a fantastic projection show on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Lastly, Disney’s Winter season brings special treats! From Minnie ear headbands to that perfect t-shirt, there is a variety of merchandise available for just about all your needs.

Try one of the many seasonal treats located in the different parks, Disney resorts, and even Walt Disney World Resort’s Disney Springs. From that perfect Christmas beverage to the Festival of Arts pop treats, and sweet Valentine’s inspired chocolate-covered strawberries… enjoy until your appetite is content!
