7 B&Bs in Boston that customers love

What a wonderful stay we had at A Village B and B.  This 19th century home has been beautifully restored by the owner, Claudia, and is such a welcoming and comfortable place.  It’s close to transportation, located in a lovely neighborhood, and has shops and restaurants nearby.  A delicious continental breakfast is included, and plenty of snacks are available. Our rooms were impeccably clean and well appointed.  Claudia has worked meticulously to provide everything that you might need during your stay in Boston.  (Including cards for the T)  Claudia, thanks so much for your hospitality. We hope to see you again soon. - glennakayc
We have been staying at A Village B&B our last few trip to Newton, and it has become our top choice when visiting our daughter at college. The place is always extremely clean, and so charming. It’s just off the main street, so within walking distance to local shops, restaurants and the T station. There is a wonderful continental breakfast each morning, and we’ve met such lovely people during each stay.  I’d highly recommend it. - winggret1
If you are looking for a place to stay that feels like home but where you don't have to make breakfast this is the place for you.   I was lucky enough to find the King Suite available while I was in Boston for a week on business.  I was so glad that I stayed here instead of a hotel.  The room was great - spacious and clean with everything I needed, and the screened in porch was perfect for winding down at night with a book.   I didn't utilize them but the cards for the T that were in the room were a very nice touch. Off street parking, a definite bonus, made coming and going from the office a breeze. There are several restaurants in the immediate and very walkable vicinity.  O'Hara's is definitely at the top of my list, but I tried a different one every night and was not disappointed.  Super cute (and safe) neighborhood to walk in. Claudia (host) was very accommodating and her breakfast trumps any hotel breakfast I've had recently.  It was a delectable spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, cereal, baked goods, juice, and very delicious coffee.  She had great recommendations for restaurants and activities, but was also just very pleasant to chat with.   I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area, and highly recommend. - L8700LCsarahm

Didn't know places like this existed. First of all, Boston is beautiful.. one of my favourite places. Spent July 4th weekend here and its a must! Green Turtle is unique made even more special by Jon & Karen. They email you on the day to find out your ETA/flight times etc and are there to greet you when you arrive.  The houseboat is gorgeous, complete with amenities and drinks/snacks. Jon was kind and willing enough to go to the store to get us beer and wine and book us a taxi for our return journey. There is motion on the houseboat but its more of a gentle rock.  On a afternoon/evening we would sit on the pier with drinks watching the world go by. Had the best time and hopefully will return to see more delights of Boston and of course Green Turtle. Thanks - victoriatU1794EL
Had a great time aboard the Green Turtle II.  We spent the afternoon on the aft deck sipping wine while watching the Sunday boat traffic. The accommodations were lovely and we couldn’t have felt more at home. The banana bread delivered for breakfast was the best ever! Thank you Karen and Jon for being such terrific hosts. - N6560HRpetram
Are you looking for something a little out of the ordinary? You’ll find it at The Green Turtle. The idea of a floating bed and breakfast intrigued me as soon as I learned about it. Arriving in Boston during evening rush hour, I soon found myself at the Charlestown Marina and settled into my accommodations right on the water. My room was charming, comfortable, and well-equipped. Jon asked me about my travel to Boston and what my hopes were while I was visiting, and he gave me some good general ideas for nearby dining and interesting shopping as well as some on-target intercity travel advice to for seeing the items on my list. Thank you Jon and Karen! - SharilynH_13
