“527 Cafe is of my favorite places to visit in Evanston. The pork sauce with rice (lu rou fan) is amazingly flavorful with pork belly pieces and a luscious sauce that pairs perfectly with the rice. And their beef noodle soup has these really tender beef shank pieces that melt in your mouth. The owners are there every day and are super friendly.” Justin H.
“Wonderful comfort food for carry out.  Their package the noodles separately for their spicy beef noodle soup so it doesn't get soggy.  Rice with pork and their chestnut chicken dish were perfect for the fall weather.  We always get the popcorn chicken and sticky buns.  Looking forward to picking food there again.  And they use paper boxes whenever possible which is wonderful!!!” Yvonne Y.
“This is a great dinner spot! It's definitely a hole in the wall, but my husband, who is from Hong Kong. confirmed that they have really authentic Taiwanese food. He loved their beef noodle soup and I had a great tofu dish!” Mary D.

3. Taipei Cafe

Taipei Cafe is a restaurant that belongs to everyone to share. The things that are shared are "food, gathering, laughter, fetters, and dreams". The fuel that propels the voyage of Taipei Cafe are these "most Taiwanese" delicacies - Zhenggang Braised Pork Rice, Braised Beef Noodles, Salted Crispy Chicken and Night Market Snacks, Hand-cranked Drinks and Homemade Desserts. No matter how far its patrons pursue their dreams, what they miss is their hometown. And of what they miss most from home, are home-cooked dishes.

“This is a restaurants that's nostalgic for me, as I grew up in Taipei. The dishes are very good, especially considering the extensive menu (usually the dishes are offered across many vendors in Taiwan).” Jack S.
“Came here multiple times for lunch and sometime order takeout for dinner. I always get the beef tendon noodle soup. It's my favorite. The broth is so rich and flavorful. There is also a mini hot pot where you can order. Today we order the beef tendon noodle soup and spicy chicken rolls with stir fried cabbage. Let me say me and my sister we ate everything. Would recommend people to come here to eat. There is a parking lot.” KELLY M.
“5/5 for real. Hotpot , noodle , street food menu , bubble tea and many more .. all in one place. Popcorn chicken is a must. Hotpot for one is also good. I will order everything but I can't hahahaha” Meenarin P.
