13 B&Bs With Great Breakfasts In Victoria

Peaceful and hospitable Mental health and stress is something affecting us all, and our stay at this tranquil oasis was a wonderful de-stressor. You wake up to peace and quiet with the sounds of birds singing. The lake-sized lagoon is a migratory bird sanctuary where you can also take their canoe out and explore. We paddled next door to Hatley Castle!  On another day we used the bikes to cycle the galloping goose trail through the woodlands and farm fields in Metchosin.  The accommodations are first class as is Paphada’s and Dieter’s hospitality. One of the mornings of our stay they even surprised us with delicious home-baked blueberry muffins twice the size of a regular muffin. The setting, and building is simply perfect and beautiful. Many local restaurants and food delivery services. We especially enjoyed the water and nature views soaking in the hot tub on cool evenings - well worth the extra cost and exclusive to the honeymoon condo.  What an amazing place this is. It’s an easy escape from Vancouver and we’ll definitely be back! - NathanEStephenson
We booked 2 days and thankfully were able to extend our stay after our kids asked us to stay longer.  They made good use of the kayaks and paddle boards. There is a full kitchen in the family condo which along with the BBQ made for some very enjoyable meals. We also opted for the reduced “No Breakfast” rate which worked perfectly for us as our teens are not early risers. It was perfect to have this option. Paphada and Dieter were very kind in also allowing our friends who live in Victoria to join us for meals and visits around the evening campfire. The entire place is spotlessly clean and very well kept. Communication by text was very quick and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the privacy this one-of-a-kind B&B gave us, more like a hotel than a B&B but without so many other guests. The free EV charging station also gave us peace of mind. This place was so peaceful and the birds are fun to watch. Being about 20 minutes from the busyness of downtown which one could see across the harbour was ideal. It’s a pleasure to highly recommend Birds of a Feather. - kristinabE9064AX
We booked the 3 of the condos for 10 days with our family of 10 meeting up from Ontario, California and Alberta. Innkeepers Paphada and Dieter were exceptionally pleasant, attentive and helpful. This is not your parents' B&B where you are staying in someone's house, nor in common areas where the Innkeepers also live. This is a uniquely purpose built B&B with 3 condos on the 2nd floor of their private residence. We had private entrances and enjoyed many common areas outdoors where we enjoyed meals and visits. We also made good use of the BBQ. We were told ahead of time we could book with, or without breakfast at a reduced cost. We were told this is an option to address both rising food costs, and waste as guests don't always show up for breakfast. Even though we opted to try different local eateries our rooms were still stocked with yogurts, juices, coffee, fruit, granola bars, cereals, oatmeal, and milk. On some mornings they even surprised us with freshly baked over-sized muffins that were to die for. We told Paphada she should open a muffin shop! There was a perfect balance between the Innkeepers communicating in real time by texts and yet not being in "our space" where you thought you were in intruding in someone's home.  When we asked for fresh towels they arrived instantly. Our teenagers loved the courtesy canoe and kayaks right a their dock. My son-in-law played his guitar at the campfire. The place is spotlessly clean and magical in a postcard setting. We were sad to leave, however, we’re already planning to book again for 2024! - KatarinaMaria

I rented the Heritage View Suite from August 2020 to Feb 2021 as I was on business in the Victoria area. The suite was gorgeous exactly as  shown in the photos online. The beds were super comfy. The enormous deck with the view of the harbor was a bonus to chill on on weekends. All info on the suite is documented in a binder and if I had any additional question the wonderful hosts Rod and Melissa of City Life suites were available. The location is great in the heart of china town. Its walking distance to everything. The best coffee of ever is across the street at Habit. Harbor Air, the Empress, and Government Street are minutes away,  Grocery Markets and restaurants are all within steps. One of my fav places to grab brunch was Boom and Batten just across the Johnson St Bridge. My coworkers also rented suites from City Life suite in various downtown locations and had great experiences. I can highly recommend City Life Suite for your next stay in Victoria. - lmcarson
We thorougly enjoyed our stay with City Life Suites in Victora last winter. We stayed in two suites in the middle of downtown; everything was within walking distance so no car was needed. Stayed in the Paroramic Suite and the Nexus Suite.. Rod and Melissa were extremely helpful; they even helped move our belongings and groceries  from one suite to the  other. Both suites were full stocked; we lacked for nothing! They deserve a 10 out of 10 for their efforts and the condos that they rent! - Adventure566421
I am writing this review into the 2nd week of our 2 month stay. Our unit is The Cosmopolitan located in the Era building on Yates St. We are very impressed Excellent downtown location - walking distance to everything; 75 steps to the Odeon Theatre; 150 steps to the Liquor Store and an exceptional Asian Restaurant; across the road from a nice pub with terrific Happy Hour specials. A modern, posh, quiet, very secure, immaculate building. Our unit is bright, exceptionally clean and very well kitted out.  The attention to detail is impressive.  The bed is sooooooo comfy. Melissa & Rod are very charming and accomodating. I am known as a bit of a "fusspot" and can be very discerning.  If I could provide a 10/5 rating, I would with no hesitation.   Highly recommend City Life Suites. - newtonp1026
